TRAMPOLINE & TUMBLING PRE-COMPETITIVE TRY-OUT (FAST)
Sunday, June 23rd - 2:30 - 4:30 pm OR Thursday, June 27th - 4:30 - 6:30 pm
Is your child the next Rosie MacLennan? Jason Burnett?
Come sign-up for a try-out in Canada's only Gold Medal sport from the 2012 Olympics!
FAST stands for Foundational Acrobatic Strength Training. It is the pre-competitive program followed by Trampoline and Tumbling clubs in Alberta. It provides a foundation for our lesson plans, supplementing what we teach the athletes in preparation for future competitive T & T.
Sign-up will be available in the main office starting Friday, May 17th.
FAST 1 - 4 hours/week - Ages 6 - 12
FUNdamentals
There will be a varied level of gymnastics experience and different ages that participate in the FAST program. The main focus is on increasing strength and coordination as well as learning the basics of the sport in a fun and challenging atmosphere. The FAST athletes training program has one hour per day spent on physical preparation (conditioning and stretching) and a second hour spent on event training (Trampoline, Double Mini Trampoline, and Tumbling).
FAST 2 & 3 – 6-9 hours /week – Ages 7-14
FUNdamentals → Learning to Train
We expect FAST athletes to be with us in the pre-competitive group for up to three years, working their way through the three testing levels in the FAST program. An athlete entering FAST 3 will remain in the FAST group for their first season. After that point, we will schedule a try-out for entry into our Competitive program, starting off in the Developmental group. At no point, however, is an athlete’s spot in the program a guaranteed thing. To be accepted into the developmental group, the athlete needs to continue to demonstrate a positive attitude towards learning, a marked progression through the skills/physical training, and continued commitment to the requirements of the FAST group regarding consistent attendance.
Vision Statement
To be the pre-eminent provider of gymnastics programs in Canada; where all athletes are empowered to strive for excellence.

Many of us at CGC are fortunate to be in a very positive position. In 2013, we are looking to give back to the community like never before.
Each month CGC will be focusing on creating awareness and helping out a different organization in Calgary.
