Is Canada's National Skill Development Program. There are 12 different coloured badges in CanGym which are designed for boys and girls ages 6 and up. The first four levels (Burgundy to Bronze) are not gender specific and are based on the 6 dominant movement patterns. Levels Purple and on are then gender specific and contain skills that go all the way to the entry level competitive Provincial 3 program.
The intention of the program is to allow each child to progress at his or her own pace. Badges are used as a tool for coaches to monitor and evaluate progressions: however, our main focus is to provides a program that allows any child to experience and enjoy the sport of gymnastics. The cost of the class is $275 plus the $21 Annual Alberta Gymnastics Federation Fee The badges are as follows:

The men’s program is broken down into 7 events: Floor, Horizontal Bar, Parallel Bars, Vault, Pommel Horse, Rings, and Trampoline. The women’s program is broken down into 5 events: Floor, Beam, Uneven Bars, Vault, and Trampoline. The program runs for 1¾ hours and follows a 10 week session with a ratio of 1:8
