Supporting Kids in Sport

KidSport Calgary & Area provides grants to help cover the costs of registration fees, as well as providing no-cost equipment so that all kids aged 18 and under in Calgary & Area can play a season of sport.

If you want to play, Jumpstart can help! Individual Child Grants through Jumpstart help families in financial need cover the costs of participating in sport and recreation.

Coaching Association of Canada’s programs empower sport coaches and sport organizations in Canada with knowledge and skills, promotes ethics, fosters positive attitudes, builds competence, and increases the credibility and recognition of coaches.

Safe Sport Training | Together, we can make sport safe for everyone.
Creating a culture where everyone can thrive is a shared responsibility. The Safe Sport Training module developed by the Coaching Association of Canada (CAC) will help anyone involved in sport identify and prevent situations of maltreatment.

The Respect in Sport | Activity Leader/Coach Program educates youth leaders, coaches, officials and participants (14-years and up) to recognize, understand and respond to issues of bullying, abuse, harassment and discrimination (BAHD). Our Activity Leader and Parent Programs are the Safe Sport Canada solution!

The Respect in Sport Parent Program will help define a standard of behaviour for all parents and create a more rewarding, safe and respectful environment for everyone involved. Parents want to do a great job supporting their kids. Respect in Sport provides parents with the tools to create and maintain Safe Sport environments.

Headversity supports employees and teams to build healthy habits in mental fitness, psychological safety, respect and leadership, and apply these skills in the course of daily work.

Sport Integrity Canada independently administers the Universal Code of Conduct to Prevent and Address Maltreatment in Sport (UCCMS) for federally funded national-level sport organizations through the Canadian Safe Sport Program (CSSP). Sport participants have the right to train and compete in safe and supportive environments. It is important to report maltreatment to help build a safe sport system in Canada.

Alberta Gymnastics Federation is the not for profit, governing body for gymnastics in Alberta and a member of the National Sport Organization Gymnastics Canada. We provide a range of information & resources to all levels of gymnasts, athletes, coaches, and judges. Our primary role is to provide administrative support in the development and delivery of programs in Artistic, Trampoline & Tumbling, Acrobatic and Gymnastics For All Programs, as well as in National Coaching Certification programs and events.
